Primošten in Croatia – old town panorama and sunset
Here I photograph Primošten from the coast, showing the old town on a peninsula surrounded by the Adriatic. Its compact buildings form a distinct silhouette against the water and sky. Alongside panoramas of the town, the album includes peaceful seascapes in which the horizon, colour and light are the most important elements.
I was particularly interested in the change of mood towards the end of the day. The blues of daytime frames give way to the orange glow of sunset, and the sun leaves a bright reflection on the water. In some photographs the town is the main subject; in others I limit the composition to sea and sky, allowing their gentle tonal transitions to speak.
I took the photographs with a Canon EOS R6 Mark II, choosing the focal length according to the breadth of the view and Primošten’s place within the frame. The settings for individual photographs are available in the EXIF data. This is a short series about Croatia’s coastal landscape, combining a panorama of a Dalmatian town with an observation of light over the Adriatic.
